Vice President, Direct Marketing- Washington, DC

Leading political communications firm working with Democratic and progressive groups is seeking a Vice President of Direct Marketing to join our Client Services team. Ideal candidates have 10 years experience in direct marketing as well as an interest in progressive causes.

Duties include:
- Designing, developing and executing print and online direct marketing campaigns for progressive organizations and causes. Campaigns would be primarily fundraising but would also include voter registration, membership and direct response.
- Setting the strategic direction for this new division of the firm including responsibility for revenues and expenses.
- Managing and developing division staff including account executives, representatives, assistants and freelancers.
- Collaborating with our Production Director to execute campaigns cost effectively.
- Selling campaigns to current and prospective clients.

Requirements:
- At least 10 years experience in direct marketing.
- At least 5 years experience managing and developing strategic teams
- Knowledge of direct marketing, fundraising techniques, test design, modeling, analytics, measurement and evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a particular focus and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, be detail oriented, be adaptable to frequent changes in workload.
- Willing to work long hours and be flexible.
