Description:
* Tired of waiting for big media to roll over?

* And journalism that really matters?
* You can be a part of the media reform movement.

Free Press, the national media reform advocacy group, is now hiring an Online Campaign Coordinator to implement groundbreaking and innovative online campaigns and collaborations for our FreePress.net, SavetheInternet.com and StopBigMedia.com sites, our ongoing public education and grassroots organizing efforts – plus lots of online, grassroots and community organizing and fundraising ideas we haven’t dreamed up yet.

We’re looking for a creative and meticulous person who can devise and implement outreach strategies for our activist community through email messaging campaigns, social networking, and blogs to increase public involvement in media reform and media policy issues. Free Press is a fast-paced, campaign-style organization that has been an innovator in the online-organizing space, and the online campaign coordinator must be able to think and act on her/his feet while maintaining attention to detail. It is strongly preferred that the Online Campaign Coordinator works out of our Florence, MA office, although we may be open to a DC placement in certain circumstances.

Position Summary: The Online Campaign Coordinator develops and implements strategies to get people involved in media policymaking. In particular, the Online Campaign Coordinator ensures that FP’s Internet-based activist organizing meets our movement-building goals and supports our policy advocacy, fundraising and public education initiatives. She/he will work in a team approach to support Free Press’ vision, values, and strategic plan.
