Job Description

National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is in search of a Writer-Editor (Communications Officer), CU-14/15, for the Office of the Chairman, located in Alexandria, VA. This is a Schedule C political appointment. This position is responsible for speech writing and developing communications strategies that promote NCUA’s messages to Federal and state agencies, Congress, credit unions, trade groups, the media, NCUA employees, and other external and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, writing and editing speeches, presentations, and other information for oral and written communications delivered by the Chairman. The successful candidate will reflect and support the Chairman’s political, personal and management philosophies.

NCUA is the federal regulatory agency overseeing federally insured credit unions. NCUA’s mission is to ensure that federally insured credit unions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and procedures.
