The University is pleased to solicit applications and nominations for this faculty position for the academic year 2010-2011. Unless otherwise indicated, faculty appointments are tenure-track at the rank of assistant Professor and require an earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in the field. (ABDs may however be considered for appointment at the rank of instructor, with projected completion of degree requirements by June 2012). Teaching responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate courses in professional communication, digital and emerging media, integrated marketing communication, and web marketing and writing. Additional responsibilities include advising students, continued scholarly growth, and service to the Department, College and University. Individuals with industry and college-level teaching experience in cognate areas such as public relations, corporate communication, strategic communication, new media applications, journalism and professional writing is a plus. Selected candidates will be required to present a successful interview, professional portfolio for review, and engage in a teaching demonstration.



Commitment to a high level of teaching effectiveness and to ongoing scholarship or creative expression, and service is required. Review of applications will commence upon approval for funding and continue until the position is filled. The academic year commences September 1, 2010.



Ph.D. in Public Relations, Integrated Marketing Communication and/or Corporate Communication preferred.



Salary commensurate with experience and expertise.
